FAQ

Q: Will this work with BMW NBT / EVO instead of CIC?
A: No. This unit is specifically designed for CIC iDrive systems (2008–2012). NBT / EVO systems use different connectors and are not supported. Always check the LVDS plug (4-pin) before ordering. 

Q: Do I lose iDrive controls or steering-wheel controls after install?
A: No. All original controls remain fully functional — iDrive knob, buttons, steering wheel controls and OEM microphone are retained.

Q: Is installation difficult?
A: Not at all. Our kit is plug-and-play — no cutting or coding. Most DIY installs take about 1.5–2 hours. If you’re unsure, we recommend professional installation.

Q: Will OEM camera and parking sensors still work?
A: Yes. The retrofit supports OEM (or aftermarket) reverse camera input, and parking sensor overlays work as before. Front camera input is optional.
